DAN-san is a director of ENJOY. He is a founding member and co-artistic director of the Pig Iron Theatre Company. Dan has directed almost all of Pig Iron’s original performance works, including Poet in New York, Gentlemen Volunteers, Isabella, Pay Up, The Lucia Joyce Cabaret, and the OBIE Award-winning Hell Meets Henry Halfway and Chekhov Lizardbrain. In 2001, Dan co-directed Shut Eye with Joseph Chaikin. Other projects include creation of audio works to accompany the paintings of Alexandra Grant at MOCA in Los Angeles, improvisation research with Headlong Dance Theater and Miguel Guttierez, and ongoing collaborations with Stockholm’s Teater Slava and the alt-comedy group The Berzerker Residents. MIMI-san designs set for ENJOY. She is a designer of sets/environments for theater, dance, and opera. Recent work includes Strange Devices (Berkeley Rep), Neighbors (Public Lab), and Welcome to Yuba City (Pig Iron). Her work has also been seen at A.R.T., Signature, The Joyce, and The Kitchen, among others. She is the recipient of a Barrymore Award, a Hewes Design Award nomination, and the NEA/TCG Career Development Program. ALEX-san plays Actor 5 in ENJOY. He is a freelance director and performer, and currently serves as Associate Artistic Director of Philadelphia’s Pig Iron Theatre Company. Awards: Princess Grace Award (Grace Le Vine Theater Award), Oregon Shakespeare Festival F.A.I.R. Directing Fellowship, Drama League Fall Directing Fellowship. Alex received his M.F.A. in Directing from the Brown University/Trinity Rep Consortium and his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
FRANK-san plays Actor 2 in ENJOY. He is the son of an Irish Mother and African American/ Cherokee father, was raised in Rural Illinois and graduated from Rock Falls High School and Juilliard (Group 31). He equally enjoys working in Theater, Television , Films , and creating original material for the web and original songs for film soundtracks.
Some highlight of his career to date include the Broadway production of a Raisin in the Sun in 2004, The Baltimore production of Lynn Nottage’s Fabulation and the Juilliard Production of Lawrence Fishburne’s Riff Raff.
On film, Harts has worked with Jane Campion, Steven Soderbergh, Matt Aselton. And most recently with Philip Noyce. Home audience will recognize Harts from his performances in Law and Order, It Is Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Queens Supreme, Hope and Faith and Early Edition.Broadway—A Raisin In The Sun-revival (George) w/ Diddy, Phylicia Rashad.
